Hello and Happy New Year for everybody!
I have had a little abandoned these days, many parties, trips and backlogs have not allowed me to do any post. But I have it! Or did you think you were going to get rid of me so easily? Hahaha! Ready? Here we go!
Increasingly, startups and SMEs kidswear abound. They bring a fresh air that allows them to thrash industry giants in social networks. Many of them have that English classicism style with gathers, lace and serpentines that works in Spain and, lately in the UK. That’s right: the British love the way we dress our children, with a more English style than English people.
That is why this time I have opted for a classic and elegant pattern: DANCER. I was inspired by the French prints Toile de Jouy. I wanted these elements had that look of vintage lithography vintage but with a more contemporary looking. So I have replaced the country scenes with flowers, polka dots and ballet dancers. And … voilà! this is the result:
I did that pattern for an advertising campaign that we will perform on 19, 20 and 21 January at the International Children’s Fashion Fair (FIMI) in Madrid and of which I’ll write in another post. I will include photos and comments of all that is going on the 86th edition of this fair. Do not miss it!
Each dancer is made by hand with digital technology, with the pencil tool. As always, you can find the print in the Shop in AI and PSD with all its layers, so you can change the colors, the distribution or isolate elements.
And to keep customs, I also attached a couple of other options: A classic dress in gray print option. I have mixed it with lace and ribbons in royal blue, a combination of colors that I have always liked.
TIP: Be careful when mixing gray with blue. Gray must be clean, combinable with white. Far away from beiges, brown or taupe, it would give a dirty look.
And also the same print in brown tones, with more strength and contrast.
TIP: Brown color look great with pink and fuchsia.
Above all, this patternrint offers you something very important for all those who raise the flag of “Made in Spain” in your collections: avoid other brands wearing your same pattern. Something that unfortunately happens more often than we would like.
As you can see is a versatile printing and will give your collection a very personal touch. What are you waiting for? If you like it, run to the Shop!
Kisses for everybody and see you next week!
